Year 2000 Desktop Readiness Website!

http://itgweb/y2kdesktop

3+ days and counting!

You have been identified as a possible owner of a "High Risk" desktop PC (equal to or less then 150MHz or Win95 System). If this is incorrect please take this opportunity to check your desktop system for Y2K compliance anyway, Http://itgweb/y2kdesktop)?

NOTE: If you load Windows 2000 (Http://ITGweb/Windows2000) and Office 2000 (Http://ITgweb/Office2000), you are two steps closer to Y2K readiness.  Go to the web site to finish up checking out your hardware, third party applications and existing data files.

We are 3+ days away from the year 2000 and all M?crosöft employees must prepare their M?crosöft Asset tagged computers. The ITG Desktop Readiness Web Site is designed to help you bring your system into compliance by leading you through a four-step checklist. Be sure to go through this four-step checklist on all of your machines, including desktop and laptop systems.

The four main points of exposure to Year 2000 problems that this Web site will ask you to check are:

·        Computer Hardware

·        Computer Operating Systems

·        Software Applications

·        Data on your hard-drive

The average time to complete all steps will take 15-30 min. depending on the amount of documents (in the final step #4) that need to be made compliant.
