Subject:                 Action required for Windows 9x and Windows NT users.

No action required for Windows 2000 computers.

Windows 9x and Windows NT 4.0 computers must upgrade to a new version of InocuLAN anti-virus software. The old versions, build 337 for Windows 9x and build 270 for Windows NT are not Y2k compliant. Even though you have the current signature file for viruses installed, the product version of InocuLAN on your computer might not be current.

How to check the InocuLAN build number to see if you need to upgrade:

·      Select “Help” on the top menu inside the InocuLAN application

·      Then, select "About Cheyenne Anti Virus" for Windows 9x and "About InocuLAN" for Windows NT

·      The splash screen will show the build number on the top

Upgrade Process:

·      Go to Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel

·      Highlight InocuLAN and select remove

·      Reboot the computer

·      Go to <http://itgweb/virus> and install the new version of InocuLAN

Windows 9x:

·      Upgrade Windows 9x computers that are running the English version of InocuLAN to build 464

·      For all other languages of InocuLAN for Windows 9x upgrade to version 335

Windows NT 4.0:

·      Upgrade Windows NT computers that are running the English version of InocuLAN to build 375

·      For all other languages of InocuLAN for Windows NT upgrade to version 373
